My son was three years old on a crisp sunny November morning. I was enjoying both my children playing in the backyard, but my son was becoming irritable, then began to cry off and on, while pulling at his ear. The crying intensified, and I grabbed him up and held him in my lap. Upon examination, I found no external reasons for this outburst, such as bugs or bites. I recognized this type of behavior as usually indicating an ear ache of some sort. A mommy’s heart wants to immediately get that earache healed and alleviate their baby’s pain.
I thought of the teaching I had been listening to from Derek Prince and all of the scriptures where God promises no disease, and heals all diseases and sicknesses. I felt challenged because I had prayed over myself and seen healing, but never had I done it over anyone else. I could hear the Spirit of God asking me, “Do you believe it is for your family too?”
I placed my hand over his ear and spoke with the authority of Jesus Christ that Satan could not have my son. I spoke the Word and commanded Satan to release him. Within one or two minutes, my son stopped screaming and crying, and went off to play. He never cried about that ear again. It was just gone.
My son benefited when the earache healed by being relieved from pain and avoiding doctors and medications. I benefited because once that earache healed, my faith was built up even more. Secondary benefit – my son did not have to take medications into his little growing body to have his earache healed, and my wallet was not effected either!
Praise be to Jehovah Rapha! My God is My Healer!
