Have you ever stood in the card aisle for an hour, searching for that perfect card that fits your Mom to a “T”? You know there has to be that card that expresses how you truly feel about her, but you can’t seem to find it. Some come close in words, but the picture is not right. Some express their interests, but you simply cannot agree with the words inside.
Mother’s Day cards are great, especially as a quick grab-and-go gift to get the point across. But the perfect one is hard to come by. Many years ago, I decided that for Mother’s Day, I would write something to express exactly how I feel about my Mother. Turns out, 30 years later, this is the one Mother’s Day gift that she remembers all these years later. She printed out the writing on some pretty paper and put it in a frame. That frame remains on her bedroom dresser to this day.
She agreed to let me share with you that 30 year old poem. Not only are we sharing it, we encourage you to download it to create a special gift for your Mom. Use it exactly as it is, or modify the words to make it the perfect fit! Perhaps you can print it and frame it to wrap up for her. Get creative and add pictures of her and her children throughout the years. Separate sections onto different pages and make it a book.
